The Puyallup River (WRIA 10) and Chambers Clover Creek (WRIA 12)Watersheds while different in scope and composition are overseen by Pierce County Surface Water Management and other partner entities. This monitoring and adaptive management plan (MAMP) was written over several years by the Watersheds Salmon Recovery Pierce County Lead Entity (Lead Entity), Technical Advisory Group (TAG), and Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), and other regional experts. “In general, the MAMP is intended to provide a plan for three monitoring categories (implementation, effectiveness, and status and trends) to support adaptive management of our efforts by answering questions such as the following:
- Is our Strategy being implemented as intended (implementation monitoring)?
- Are our protection and restoration projects functioning as intended (effectiveness monitoring)?
- Are habitat conditions in our Watersheds improving (status and trends monitoring)?”
